Accessibility Policy

Updated June 2023

We are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Our commitment

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. We are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We strive to meet level AAA standards from the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. Currently, we meet the majority of the standards and are substantially compliant with the AA standards. We’re working to close all remaining gaps by updating the website/application to ensure our properties are as accessible as possible. We have more to do and will continue updating this page as we make improvements.

We take the following measures to ensure accessibility of the website:

  • Include accessibility as part of our mission statement.

  • Include accessibility throughout our internal policies.

  • Integrate accessibility into our procurement practices.

  • Appoint an accessibility officer and/or ombudsperson.

  • Provide continual accessibility training for our staff.

  • Assign clear accessibility goals and responsibilities.

  • Employ formal accessibility quality assurance methods.

  • Include people with disabilities in our design personas.

Technical specifications

Application features

Our goal is to give everyone the same levels of access and ease of use.

  • Each page has regions for the navigation, content, and footer for users to move around quickly and consistently.

  • Pages contain H1, H2, and H3 headings where applicable to ensure logical orders.

  • Users should be able to zoom up to 300% without any functional issues.

  • Design elements have been considered and updated to improve navigation and maximize color contrast however some user generated content includes color customization functionality where they could control and/or impair color contrast.

  • Pages that contain map elements should have corresponding information access on the body of the page.

  • Advertisements maintain accessible and visible labels. Content with ads are not hidden. We also encourage advertising partners to include captions for all media elements.
